Edinburgh, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - Aberdeen recorded two late goals at Easter Road on Saturday to climb to second place in the Scottish Premier League table with a 2-0 defeat of Hibernian.
The visitors were made to wait until the 80th minute for the opening goal as Scott Vernon provided the breakthrough.
Hibs searched for an equalizer but Aberdeen wrapped up the victory thanks to Greg Wylde's strike in the third minute of stoppage time.
The win sees Aberdeen improve to 20 points on the season, bringing the Dons to within three points of first-place Celtic and five points clear of Hibernian.
Dundee United climbed to 16 points thanks to a 4-0 defeat of St. Mirren. Nadir Ciftci led the way for Dundee, netting two goals in the span of seven minutes.
And Kris Boyd produced a brace to lead Kilmarnock to a 2-0 victory over lowly Hearts at Rugby Park on Saturday.
