Virginia Attorney General Issues State Seal Pin With Bare-Breasted Goddess Covered Up

Virginia's attorney general reportedly isn't a fan of the state seal -- Roman goddess Virtus wearing a tunic draped over one shoulder and her left breast exposed -- so he recently handed out new lapel pins to his staff members showing the goddess' bosom covered up with an armored breastplate.

Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli joked with staffers that the new lapel pins now makes the classical art PG, reported Monday.

Cuccinelli spokesman Brian Gottstein defended his boss' move, reportedly telling the website that the newest rendition "harkens back to an older version of the seal."

Gottsein said the pin was paid for by Cuccinelli’s political action committee -- not by Virginia taxpayers -- and the lapel depicts the goddess' "more modest attire."
