SCOTUS Watch: Don't hold your breath next week

Press Secretary Robert Gibbs ruled out next week for a possible Supreme Court nominee announcment to replace Justice David Souter.   It is still the Administration's goal to have the new justice on the bench on October 1st for the next term of the high court.

"Whether that's done that before the August recess, whether that's done in September, is -- is less important to ensuring that we get something in place for the next term,"  said Gibbs.
