Romney campaign official joins Gov. Scott Walker's effort

WASHINGTON-- Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has added a senior member of Mitt Romney's former team as his political operation grows ahead of a likely 2016 presidential run.

The Republican governor's political action committee tapped Matt Hall to serve as director of operations. Hall held a similar position for Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, among more than a decade in politics that included similar duties in George W. Bush's White House.

Hall's political firm, Harbinger Outreach, confirmed the hire late Tuesday.

Walker has left little doubt about his 2016 intentions as he continues to assemble a national political team. He's also fresh off a tour through Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, the first three states on the presidential primary calendar.

Members of Romney's team are in high demand as the crowded field of Republican White House prospects moves deeper into the 2016 primary season.

Most of those in Romney's inner circle have yet to settle on a candidate, although many donors are backing former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. Other members of Romney's senior team are quietly deciding among Bush, Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

In addition to working for Romney's 2012 campaign, Hall has managed operations and logistics for two other presidential campaigns.
