Obama starts interview process for Supreme Court position

Major Garrett reports, President Obama has interviewed federal appeals court Judge Sidney Thomas of Montana for the US Supreme Court.

A person with knowledge of the matter confirms to Major that Mr Obama conducted his first formal interview for the upcoming available seat on the high court at the White House Thursday.

The administration had no comment.

The president is choosing a nominee to replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens.
