CA Gov. Asks Feds to Help Terminate Budget Woes

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger paid a visit to the California Congressional delegation in an effort to obtain some assistance for his state, which is experiencing a budget crisis. He said he did not want to point fingers or assign blame for the situation and that urgent action was needed.

The state's budget is prepared with drastic cuts in mind, but Governor Schwarzenegger hopes it doesn't come to that. "We have the cuts in the budget, you always put them in... (But) we are going to work to get some assistance."

Schwarzenegger admitted that the state of CA is part of the problem. "We have a budget system that fails California... We don't have a rainy day fund to help us at times like this."
