Bobby Jindal To New Hampshire

Another nationally recognized Republican is heading to New Hampshire, home of the "First in the Nation" presidential primary. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal will be visiting the Granite State on October 14th to campaign for Republican gubernatorial candidate John Stephen.

Jindal will speak at a fundraiser for Stephen in Portsmouth, as well as participate in a yet to be determined public campaign event. The Louisiana governor is the fourth prominent Republican to campaign with Stephen, along with former Massachusetts Governor and 2008 presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, and Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, who will be in New Hampshire on Thursday.

One thing all four men have in common is that they are the subject of 2012 presidential campaign speculation. Although Jindal was on John McCain's vice presidential short list in 2008, he plays it coy when confronted on the subject, saying he already has the job he wants.

John Stephen is running against incumbent Democratic New Hampshire Governor John Lynch, and just a few months ago was down by double digits. But, recently the polls have tightened and national Republicans have been flocking to his side.
