The X Factor: Rachel Crow Eliminated in Deadlock

In one of the most shocking, unexpected X Factor elimination's, fan favorite Rachel Crow was sent home Thursday night.
Crow, 13, collapsed on the X factor stage and sobbed inconsolably upon hearing the results. The judges and her mother rushed over to her side as she cried “Mommy!” in agony.
The decision came down to pop star Nicole Scherzinger, who decided not to vote at all, forcing the producers to go into deadlock and send home the contestant with the least amount of votes.
With guilt on her face, Scherzinger attempted to console Crow. When asked if she had any words by X Factor judge Steve Jones, the crowd booed her loudly.
“I love you so much,” said Crow to her fans. “without you I am nothing.”

Minutes earlier Crow and Marcus Canty were sitting by themselves in the bottom two.
Canty is no stranger to being close to going home, as the crooner has landed a spot there for the third time. For Crow, this was a new experience.
Music giant L.A. Reid literally stood by Canty and his vote, despite wanting to keep Crow around.“This is the toughest part of the show,” Reid said. “Both of you were great.”
“Rachel you surprised me,” he added. “I thought you were going to get slaughtered by this guy.”
He may have flattered Crow, but sent her home saying he “is a man of principle.”
Crow’s mentor, record label big timer Simon Cowell had tears in his eyes as Crow sang for her life and then got sent home.
He cast his vote to keep Crow around but it was all in vain.
Paula Abdul also agreed with Cowell.“The one that blew me away was Rachel,” said the famous choreographer. “I have to be honest with my heart.”
The X Factor is down to four contenders who will battle it out for a five million dollar recording contract and the chance to be the face of Pepsi.
Going into the semi-finals are Chris Rene, Josh Krajick, Melanie Amaro and Marcus Canty.
