It's "Law & Order: Ex-Wife Unit," and this is her story.
Christine Wolf, the ex of "Law & Order" creator Dick Wolf, has filed suit against her former business managers and accountant, charging they cost her tens -- if not hundreds -- of millions in her divorce from the TV titan.
In papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Wolf says she relied on the firm she and her husband had used for over a decade to divvy up their assets, and they betrayed her.
Loring Ward International and the Assante Corp. "negligently and/or purposefully" concealed "substantial assets" of the Wolfs' joint marital estate "prior to the commencement of and during marital property settlement proceedings," says the suit.
It even provides a motive -- they did so "all for the benefit of Mr. Wolf in order to protect their interests in continuing to manage his assets."
Reps for the companies did not return calls for comment.
The ex-wife says she and her husband had entrusted their financial planning and accounting to Assante since 1994, and when they told the company they were divorcing in 2002, honchos there offered to help.
The company assured her it would be "unbiased" and objective with its recommendations, the suit says.
Instead, she said, the information she got was "incomplete."
The ex-wife said the advisors never mentioned that the company she shared with her hubby would continue getting royalties for the long-running show and its numerous spin-offs, as well as merchandising money.
