Katharine McPhee's Peacock Dress, Ben Affleck's 'Awful' Tattoo, and Much, Much More

Here's what all the fuss is about:

• Recording artist and "Scorpion" actress Katherine McPhee posed for the Improper Bostonian in a tiny sheer dress covered in what appear to be peacock feathers (above). But "covered" might be the wrong word, because it's clear that whoever designed this dress didn't kill nearly enough peacocks to finish the rear-end portion of the dress.

• Over the last few days, both Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Lopez have poked fun at ex-partner Ben Affleck over his huge back tattoo of a phoenix, with Garner hinting that it doesn't make sense and Lopez remarking that it's not cool enough and "awful." That said, one wonders if Affleck will consider getting his ink removed, or if he'll keep his huge, nonsensical, awful, uncool, stupid tattoo.

• Speaking of tattoos, we recently interviewed celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang, who literally made his mark on such stars as Cara Delevingne, Justin Bieber and Rihanna. In fact, Bang Bang even shared a funny story about meeting and inking Rihanna, and fortunately, it didn't result in a big stupid phoenix tattoo. Watch the clip below:

• The Walt Disney Company has announced its new "surge pricing" model, which means that tickets to Disney parks will soon cost more during the most popular times of the year. So now, if you really want to get the most bang for your buck, you'll have to visit on slow days. And also, you'll have to start stealing souvenirs.

• On Monday, country artist Chris Stapleton released a music video for his new single "Fire Away," which was notable for being one of the few songs on his Grammy-winning debut album that wasn't about — or didn't directly reference — whiskey. He quickly rights that wrong within the first 30 seconds of the video, though:

• As reported in the New York Times, Abe Vigoda's family and fans are upset over the late actor's exclusion from the "In Memoriam" segment during this year's Academy Awards. The Academy has since stated that they were simply "unable" to fit him in, but we all know the real reason they ignored Vigoda: They, like so many of us, thought he died long, long ago.

• This past Sunday's Academy Awards earned the second-lowest ratings in the history of the telecast, with only about 34.3 million viewers tuning in. To put that into perspective, this means that more of your pretentious friends pretended to see "Room" than actually watched the Oscar ceremony the other night. Crazy!

• Beloved character actor George Kennedy passed away on Sunday at the age of 91. He'll be remembered fondly for his Oscar-winning turn alongside Paul Newman in "Cool Hand Luke," his supporting role in the genre-defining disaster drama "Airport," and, of course, his brief tenure as an L.A.P.D. captain in the late '80s and early '90s:
