Comedian Chelsea Handler pulled no punches earlier this week when it came to slamming Donald Trump over his part in the ongoing government shutdown that’s taking a toll on countless federal workers.

The star took to Twitter on Tuesday to bash President Trump for not ending the shutdown and, instead, holding out for Democrats to provide funding for a wall at the southern border to curtail what he describes as the humanitarian crisis of illegal immigrants coming across.

“Watching our president behave like an errant toddler depriving people of their basic necessities—people who are supposed to be protected by our government—should warm his supporters hearts. Does it? Do you guys enjoy watching people suffer? For a large slab of cement?” Handler tweeted.

The star paints all Republicans in a dark light, insinuating that they enjoy seeing the human cost that the shutdown is taking. As it stands, many are missing paychecks due to the government not functioning and them essentially being out of work for the time being.

Handler is typically very outspoken on her social media, particularly when it comes to anti-Trump sentiments.

Earlier this week, she sounded off on the shutdown as well, responding to a tweet from the president on the matter with an oddly threatening tone.

“We have a massive Humanitarian Crisis at our Southern Border. We will be out for a long time unless the Democrats come back from their ‘vacations’ and get back to work. I am in the White House ready to sign!” Trump tweeted on Saturday.

Handler responded to the tweet saying, “You are the humanitarian crisis. If we could wrap you in cement, put you in a wall, we’d all be a lot safer. Stain on humanity.”
