A co-founder of Pinkberry yogurt was arrested Monday night at Los Angeles International Airport for allegedly beating a homeless man last summer with a tire iron, The Los Angeles Times reported.
In June 2011, the former kickboxer was approached by the homeless man at a traffic light, the report said, citing police. The homeless man was apparently looking for a handout.
Police Capt. Paul Vernon told The Times that the men exchanged words until Lee, joined by another man in the car, chased and beat the homeless man with a tire iron. The homeless man’s injuries were not disclosed. Authorities spent months investigating the incident, the report said.
Lee was arrested on a warrant for assault with a deadly weapon and remains jailed Tuesday on $60,000 bail.
Pinkberry has more than 100 storefronts from the U.S. to the Middle East, the report said. A phone call from FoxNews.com to the company was not immediately returned.
