San Francisco and New Orleans reign supreme when it comes to the greatest number of restaurants and bars per capita. The two cities top Trulia’s lists of the metropolitan areas with the highest density of dining (San Francisco) and drinking (New Orleans) venues per 10,000 households.
Using 2010 census data from the 100 largest metros, Trulia’s chief economist Jed Kolko found that the highest concentration of restaurants can be found on the coasts, while America’s heartland is brimming with bars per capita. Here are the two lists:
