Swedish police say they are investigating what could be a triple homicide after three people were found dead in the country's southwest.

Police spokesman Christer Fuxborg says the victims were found Saturday near Uddevalla hospital, north of Goteborg, Sweden's second-largest city.

Fuxborg says the three included both men and women, and one of the victims had been identified. However, he declined to give further details, saying next of kin hadn't yet been notified.

He declined to comment on Swedish media reports that one victim was found in a car while two others were on the ground nearby. Police didn't immediately provide details on how they were killed.

No arrests were made when a group of 15 to 20 people tried to enter the sealed-off crime scene on a parking lot.
