MOSCOW -- A Russian woman was stabbed to death with a kebab skewer on a bus in southern Moscow following a heated argument, the Ria Novosti news agency reported Saturday.

The incident occurred on a crowded bus in the Tsaritsyno district Friday. The cause of the argument between the two women was unknown, however it ended with one of them stabbing the other in the back.

The bus driver locked the doors immediately, then called police.

The 52-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital, where she later died, Lifenews.ru online reported.

The accused woman faces up to 15 years in prison.
