SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – A federal grand jury has indicted 26 people accused of running one of the largest drug trafficking rings in western Puerto Rico.
U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez said Tuesday that the suspects began operating in a public housing complex in the town of Anasco in 2010. The organization is suspected of generating a total of some $10 million.
The suspects were charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin, crack, cocaine and marijuana.
