Nova Scotians race giant pumpkins in annual festival

Last week, the annual Windsor Pumpkin Regatta drew thousands of people to watch an adventurous few attempt a 20-minute race across Lake Pesaquid in giant, decorated pumpkins. These handmade boats can weigh up to 600 hundreds pounds and measure 12 feet in circumference—just enough room for two adults to squish into when gutted.
