In the eighth inning, Tigers left fielder Delmon Young smacked a ball into the right-center field gap. Upton just missed the running catch and after he put his arms up to brace himself against the wall, he bent over in pain.
The trainers came out and checked on his right shoulder before he was replaced by Reid Brignac.
