Strasbourg, France – All of Monday's scheduled opening-round action was postponed because of rain at the $235,000 Strasbourg International tennis event, a final clay-court French Open tune-up.
Seven matches, including ones for top seeds Marion Bartoli of France and Tamira Paszek of Austria, were pushed back to Tuesday at Strasbourg Tennis Club. The former Wimbledon runner-up Bartoli was the Strasbourg runner-up two years ago.
Former French Open champion Francesca Schiavone beat France's own Alize Cornet in last year's Strasbourg finale.
The 2013 Strasbourg champion will collect $41,000.
