Vanderbilt has finished the past two seasons ranked in the Top 25. Now the Commodores are preparing for spring practice with a new coach in Derek Mason and trying to build off their recent success.

Mason said Monday that he has a team that knows how to win. The biggest challenge is teaching the Commodores what the new coaches want with new schemes on both offense and defense.

Mason was hired after James Franklin left in January to take over at Penn State.

The new coach says he's seen all his Commodores on tape and now wants to see what they look like on the field.

Kyle Woestmann is at linebacker now after playing defensive line. He says he expects 2014 to be the best year of Vanderbilt football yet.
