Missoula, MT (SportsNetwork.com) - Montana defensive end Zack Wagenmann's potential spot in the NFL Draft next week may have been damaged after he recently suffered a broken foot.

Wagenmann, the 2014 Big Sky Conference defensive player of the year, was injured during a pre-draft workout for an undisclosed NFL team, ESPN's Adam Caplan reported Thursday.

The 6-foot-3, 247-pounder has been projected for around the sixth round of the draft. He is expected to be sidelined for at least eight weeks, but should be healthy for an NFL training camp.

Wagenmann set Montana career records for sacks (37.5), tackles for loss (49) and forced fumbles (11). The three-time All-Big Sky first-team selection had 17.5 sacks a senior, when he finished third in the Buck Buchanan Award voting for FCS defensive player of the year.
