Linkou, Chinese Taipei (SportsNetwork.com) - Prom Meesawat parred the second playoff hole on Sunday to defeat Miguel Tabuena and win the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship.
Meesawat, who finished regulation play tied with Tabuena at 11-under-par 277, carded a 3-under 69 in the final round. The win is Meesawat's second on tour.
Starting the day behind Tabuena by two shots, Meesawat started off on the right foot with a birdie on the first. After two consecutive pars, Meesawat drained his second birdie on No. 4. He gave one of those shots back on the par-4 sixth with a bogey and he closed the front nine with three pars, making the turn at 1-under.
Following a par at the 10th, Meesawat poured in his third birdie on the par-3 11th. After rattling off six straight pars from No. 12, Meesawat came up with a huge birdie on the last to force a playoff.
Both Meesawat and Tabuena parred the first extra hole and headed to a second. Meesawat found the green in three on the par-5 and he two-putted for par to take home his second title.
Tabuena fired a final-round 71, which included three bogeys and four birdies, and he finished tied with Meesawat at the end of regulation.
Antonio Lascuna shot a 69 on Sunday to take sole possession of third place at 10-under 278, while Paul Peterson (69), Daniel Chopra (72) and Anirban Lahiri (73) ended tied for fourth at 8-under 280.
