Barcelona, Spain – Barcelona defender Gerard Pique will miss three weeks with a calf injury, ruling him out of Friday's UEFA Super Cup.
Pique played 45 minutes Monday in a friendly against Napoli, but suffered the injury following the match in practice. He will miss the Super Cup against FC Porto, and possibly La Liga matches - if the league returns from a strike.
Barcelona won the Champions League last season and opens group play in 2011-12 on September 13-14.
