Omar Osbourne, on just his third carry all day, raced 40 yards for a touchdown with 1 minute, 38 seconds left to give Albany a 23-20 victory over Sacred Heart Saturday.

The Great Danes (7-1, 5-0) barely remained unbeaten in Northeast Conference play. Quarterback Will Fiacchi threw two touchdown passes to Ryan Kirchner: a 29-yarder for Albany's first touchdown, then a 19-yarder to climax an 88-yard, third-quarter scoring drive for a 17-13 lead.

But Sacred Heart's Luke Wischnowski responded with his third touchdown pass and second to Rock Tate, whose 30-yard catch opened the scoring in the first quarter. Wischnowski's 35-yard scoring pass to Tate with 2:35 remaining in the game gave the Pioneers a 20-17 lead.

Osbourne then ran 40 yards to win it. Albany's Dave Plungas had 16 tackles and Jon Morgan two interceptions — the last with 57 seconds left to seal it.
