Secretary Clinton to Ring the Opening Bell at the NYSE on September 9

The State Department announced Wednesday that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will join with other leaders at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on September 9th to remember the victims of 9/11, their families and loved ones and those who aided the rescue and recovery act.

On the morning of September 17, 2001, the first day the exchange reopened following the September 11th attacks, then-Senator Clinton and others, including fellow New York Senator Charles Schumer and New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, rang the NYSE opening bell.

The State Department released the following schedule for September 9th's opening bell ceremony:

9:25 am (ET) Moment of Silence (one minute)

9:26 am (ET) "God Bless America" sung by former USMC Major Rose-Ann L. Lynch

9:30 am (ET) Opening Bell with guests from 9/17/01 Opening Bell including:
