A super PAC supporting John Kasich's presidential campaign on Monday began airing its first televised ad in New Hampshire that directly hits Donald Trump.
The ad, titled "Hippo-Crit," features a split-screen image of Trump and a hippopotamus accompanied by the tagline, "One bellows. One bellows malarkey."
"Donald Trump repeatedly says one thing, does another," a narrator can be heard saying in the ad. "The hypocrite says he's champion of American workers, but had his line of Trump ties made in China. Some of the laborers on his palatial D.C. hotel? Illegal immigrants. ... America needs proven, honorable leadership. John Kasich."
New Day for America, the super political action committee behind the advertisement, has repeatedly attacked Trump and accused him of being an unserious candidate. Past ads from the super PAC have showcased Trump's controversial statements about women, African-Americans, and how Trump would date his own daughter if the father-daughter pair had no familial relationship.
