Biden Says Terror Leaders' Deaths Significant Blow to al-Qaeda

Vice President Biden opened the daily White House press briefing with a statement on the deaths of al-Qaeda in Iraq's top deputies: Abu Omar al-Baghdadi and Abu Ayyub al-Masri.  Biden characterized their deaths as a devastating blow to the terrorist organization.  He praised Iraqi forces for their actions in taking down the two terror leaders.

The vice president said one U.S. soldier was killed in action, but did not report the name since next of kin have yet to be notified.
