Netanyahu bringing 'surprises' to UN speech, after Iran doubles down on nuclear program
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to "fight against the lies" he said were being spread about Israel and said "there will also be surprises" at his Thursday speech to the United Nations General Assembly one day after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told the assembly that Iran is seeking "peaceful" nuclear power.
Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon told Fox & Friends on Thursday that Neria Leiter, an Israeli military reservist and son of Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter, was injured in a car ramming in the West Bank.
"At the beginning it sounded really bad, he went through several operations overnight and now we are praying for him," Danon said.
Leiter was critically injured Wednesday in a car ramming at a security checkpoint in Jerusalem's West Bank.
Danon also provided an update on Israel's plan to rebuild Gaza.
"The one core issue [is] disarmament of Hamas. If Hamas is still in charge over Gaza, there is no hope for Gaza. Whatever money you're going to put there, they're going to take it and transfer it into terror activities," Danon said.
He did add, however, that Israel is preparing for the day when the fighting ends. "We are not waiting for them to disarm. At the same time, we develop those plans. We're getting ready for the day after, but we have to realize that someone, either the IDF, or international forces, someone has to make sure they disarm," Danon concluded
Danon also echoed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's teaser that there will be a "surprise" during Netayahu's speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday.

A spokesperson for the Saudi Arabian-led Coalition Joint Forces Command (CJFC) announced Thursday that Saudi Arabia had intercepted six ballistic missiles launched by Houthi terrorists in Yemen.
“Coalition: Interception and destruction of (6) ballistic missiles launched by the terrorist Houthi militia,” Colonel Turki Al-Malki, a CJFC spokesperson, wrote in a Thursday post on X.
The barrage was the latest attempt by the Yemen-based Houthis to target and attack Saudi Arabia after the terrorists escalated a military campaign against their northern neighbor in July.
Earlier this month, the Houthis launched a ground campaign against Saudi forces and against the Saudi-backed government of Yemen.
On Sept. 10, the group captured the Red Sea port city of Mokha and surrounding logistic hubs.
Following the ground campaign, the group began launching ballistic missiles at key targets in Saudi Arabia, including strikes near King Khalid International Airport in Saudi’s capital Riyadh.
Al-Maliki identified the latest strike as targeting Saudi cities Taif and Yanbu.
“Escalations and violations by the terrorist Houthi militia will be dealt with firmly,” he added in another post.

UNITED NATIONS - Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša accused the United Nations of applying double standards to global conflicts, arguing that the international community's focus on Gaza has overshadowed Russia's war in Ukraine and other humanitarian crises, while revealing that President Donald Trump has promised to visit Slovenia, the homeland of first lady Melania Trump.
Speaking exclusively to Fox News Digital on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York on Wednesday, Janša said the international body must give greater attention to conflicts beyond the Middle East rather than concentrating its diplomatic efforts on a single crisis.
"We have to get rid of double standards," Janša said, calling for the U.N. to apply its available diplomatic and security tools equally instead of putting its attention, money and energy into one conflict while neglecting others.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Wednesday that the Iranian regime was “cornered” as Washington “sequenced” military, economic and financial pressure.
“They're cornered animals,” Bessent said on Fox News’ “Special Report.”
The Treasury secretary went on to say the results Washington was seeing were the product of what he called “sequencing.”“The world has never seen anything like this, and it's because of sequencing.
“So we had six weeks of kinetic activity. We have the blockade, and now we have an effort never seen before in terms of constricting and cutting off the financial oxygen to them,” he said of the regime.
“I don't know whether it's going to be a week, a month or two months, but they're going to yell uncle.“
And the goal here can be one of three,” he said before outlining how the outcomes could include the regime turning on itself or an uprising by the Iranian people.
“And then three, to get the Iranians to, if they want to make a deal, to stick to the deal.
“We gave the MoU a try on June 3, and then the Iranians, a few weeks later, began firing on ships in the Strait and being very aggressive. And this time, if there is a deal, I guarantee you they're going to stick with it,” he said.
