In what’s heating up to be one of the messiest love triangles in recent Hollywood memory, the drama surrounding the alleged dalliance between Tristan Thompson, Khloe Kardashian’s boyfriend and baby daddy, and Jordyn Woods, longtime best friend of Kylie Jenner, has now spilled over into one of the most profitable ventures of the KarJenner empire: Kylie Cosmetics.
Since news of Thompson’s reported infidelity broke, the Calabasas crew has been up in arms – apparently prompting Jenner to slash the prices of the “Kylie X Jordyn” collection sold through her eponymous makeup brand by as much as 50 percent. Meanwhile, on eBay, prices are shooting up to $400 for the very same products.
Just days after the reported tryst occurred, Woods’ Velvet Liquid Lipstick and lip liner had been marked down from $27 to $13.50, quickly selling out by Feb. 22, Allure reports. Though other palettes, lip glosses and an all-inclusive bundle are still marked for sale at what Allure dubs their “usual prices,” all products from the Kylie x Jordan line are now marked with a "Trending Product: Get It Before It's Gone" sticker online – perhaps foreshadowing an upcoming end to the collaboration.
In contrast, in the wake of the scandal, prices for goods from the 21-year-olds' joint line are spiking on eBay, as per Page Six. Bundles available for sale through Kylie Cosmetics for $124 are going for as much as $400 on the commerce platform.
According to People, Woods has moved out of Jenner’s home since the news broke, as the makeup mogul grapples with the future of their friendship.
“Jordyn has been like Kylie’s sister. They were inseparable, and always together,” a source told the outlet. “Jordyn often helped Kylie with Stormi. Kylie was always so excited to have Jordyn around. It seems Kylie isn’t sure what to do, but it seems impossible for her to keep Jordyn around.”
