Rose McGowan blasted her former lawyers on Wednesday for agreeing to represent her nemesis, Harvey Weinstein, against sex-assault charges — and claimed it was part of a plot that resulted in her pleading no contest to misdemeanor drug possession last week.

“This is a major conflict of interest but I knew there was shadiness going on behind the scenes,” McGowan told The Daily Beast on Wednesday.
“This is why my case didn’t go to trial — my instinct was my lawyers had been bought off.”

The “Scream” actress added: “I thought Harvey would get to them behind the scenes and I wouldn’t have fair representation.”
McGowan’s comments came in response to an exclusive Post report that revealed Weinstein had hired lawyers Jose Baez and Ronald Sullivan as part of a legal “dream team” to replace high-powered defense attorney Benjamin Brafman, who quit the case last week.
McGowan, who has accused the disgraced movie mogul of raping her in 1997 during the Sundance film festival, also claimed that she had “asked Jose Baez directly if he would ever work with Harvey and I told him it was my fear that he would be bought off while representing me.”

Baez and Sullivan represented McGowan when she struck a no-jail plea bargain last week in Virginia, where she’d been charged with felony drug possession.

The case stemmed from the discovery of cocaine inside her wallet when it was found by a cleaning crew on an airplane at Dulles International Airport last year.
Before hiring Baez and Sullivan in May, McGowan claimed she was set up by Weinstein as revenge for her #MeToo allegations against the Miramax co-founder.
In a prepared statement, Baez and Sullivan said: “We were pleased to represent our former client, Ms. Rose McGowan, in a matter unrelated to Mr. Weinstein’s current charges. After consultation with ethics counsel, we are certain no conflict of interest exists. We wish Ms. McGowan well with all her future endeavors.”

Weinstein faces a May 7 trial over allegations he forcibly performed oral sex on production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006 and raped a longtime lover in a Manhattan hotel in 2013.
