Catalina Sandino Moreno, who broke out into the industry with her acclaimed performance in 2004’s “Maria Full of Grace,” will now star opposite Aaron Eckhart in the supernatural thriller “Incarnate.”

The role was initially played by Rosario Dawson, but the “Sin City” actress dropped out of the project due to scheduling reasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The project, a new franchise hopeful from Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions, is set to begin filming next month in Los Angeles.

“Incarnate” tells the story of “an unconventional exorcist – with the ability to tap into the subconscious of the possessed – who meets his match when a 9-year-old boy is possessed by a demon from his past,” according to Blumhouse.

Brad Peyton, who directed “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Luis Guzman, will direct the micro-budget pic.
