In the FOXlight: The Stars of 'Outlander' Talk Characters and Kilts

The plot of STARZ's hit show "Outlander" can be difficult to explain — even for some of the series' stars!
"It's hard to describe," laughs actress Caitriona Balfe, who portrays Claire. "It's a historical drama with some fantasy, and at the heart of it, a beautiful love story."
But that's not all "Outlander," has to offer: The show also stars Sam Heugan as a Scottish warrior and Lotte Verbeek as a mysterious healer. And since it's set in the Scottish Highlands, there's no shortage of kilts, kilts, or even kilts.
"It's super comfortable," says Sam Heughan of his costume. "It's the most comfortable clothing I think I've ever worn."
