"She said, 'We have it down to a science,' because they have an iPad that they can only use — and Nicole's pretty hardcore about technology with the kids — they have an iPad they only are allowed to use on the plane," Britton said.

Kidman shares daughters Sunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, 8, with husband Keith Urban, with whom she often flies to and from Australia and the United States.

Britton adopted son Eyob in 2011.

"The only time he uses an iPad is [on the plane]," Britton said. "He sits down in his seat. He's like, 'Mom, can I look at my iPad?' I'm like, ‘Yeah.' We don’' speak the entire plane ride. Instead of giving him multiple doses of Benadryl, just do the iPad and then it goes back in his backpack when we land."
