'Skyfall' cast answers Bond trivia
Do Daniel Craig, Judy Dench and Javier Bardem know their Bond history?
The latest Bond film “Skyfall” hits theaters on November 9, and in keeping with the film franchise's much ballyhooed 50th anniversary, reigning 007 Daniel Craig promises a return to tradition.
“I always had a plan in my head, however tenuous it was, that when we did ‘Casino’ – that was the beginning – we had to set a tone. Then we finished the story in ‘Quantum’ and wrapped it all up. The third one would always be about bringing in the classic Bond,” Craig told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “The characters, the people that really make a Bond movie a Bond movie. That was my only desire.”
Having first taken on the iconic part almost seven years ago, the British actor is now completely comfortable slipping into secret agent mode.
“I enjoy it. I have to concentrate on acting, and having someone like (director) Sam Mendes is a big joy for me, I can relax. He has got it all covered," Craig said. "But the look and feel of the movie I am incredibly passionate about because I think these movies should look as stylish as any movie can."
While he has no intention of parting ways with the role that made him a household name any time soon, Craig said he won’t be too upset about passing the torch when the time comes.
“No problem whatsoever, whoever takes it on – good luck to them,” he offered.
And given that this year is a special Bond birthday, we couldn’t resist at least a little 007 trivia. Could Craig name the actors who played film’s most famous spy in the years before him?
“Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig,” he added. “Have I missed anyone out?”
