As expected, all the lovely ladies who hit the red carpet at Tuesday's gala looked gorgeous in their gowns — or, in some cases, the barely-there ensembles that they generously considered to be gowns. (We're looking at you, Hannah Ferguson and Gigi Hadid.) And when they all got together in one room, it was safe to say they were the was the sexiest group of women this side of, well, the actual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

As they do each year, Hollywood's finest gathered to honor those who’ve raised awareness on the HIV/AIDS epidemic at the annual amfAR New York Gala, which was held this year at Cipriani Wall Street.

"Since 1998, the amfAR New York Gala has become one of New York City’s most successful and high-profile AIDS benefit events," says the organization, which has been advocating for AIDS research since its founding in 1985. "The Gala consistently attracts — and salutes — some of the biggest names in entertainment, fashion, art, and AIDS advocacy."
"To date, the amfAR New York Gala has raised more than $15 million," the organization adds.

And at such a glamorous black-tie affair, the stars in attendance rose to the occasion in breathtaking, stunning ensembles. From old Hollywood glamour to more modern styles featuring dangerous slits and daring V-neck cuts, it was difficult to keep our jaws off the floor.
