After a long evening teetering on towering heels while trying to look like a statuesque siren, many women would happily toss aside their stilettos so their achy feet can get some much-needed relief.
But America’s Sweetheart didn’t even bother with that nonsense. She just skipped the shoes altogether.

Before the premiere of "Money Monster" at the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival, the 48-year-old actress went barefoot on the red carpet, rocking only a plunging, off-the-shoulder gown finished with a Chopard emerald and diamond necklace. Talk about a making a major fashion statement.
"This blatant act of fashion rebellion comes just a year after festival organizers allegedly turned away a group of women in their 50s from a screening of 'Carol' for not wearing high heels,” Vanity Fair notes.
Screen Daily also reported that in previous years, many guests, including "some older with medical conditions," were "denied access to the anticipated world-premiere screening for wearing rhinestone flats."

Roberts, on the other hand, was welcomed with open arms.
"She did arrive on the red carpet wearing heels, but she appears to have removed them as she made her way into the premiere," adds Vanity Fair.

The Duchess of Cambridge is tackling her royal duties with sheer delight.
Kate Middleton, along with husband Prince William, met with young natives from India and Bhutan at Kensington Palace this past Wednesday. According to The Telegraph, the couple wanted to learn more about the two countries, which they’ll be touring on Sunday after kicking off their trip in Mumbai.

While the 34-year-old mother of two could have easily recycle one of her many ensembles, as she’s famously done, she opted wear a very unique outfit.
The Mirror reports that Middleton rocked a royal blue "Mary Illusion Dot Dress" by Indian designer Saloni, which pays "tribute to her upcoming host country." And true to the name, the super sheer gown seems to give the illusion that Middleton is topless … or is she? (Heavens, what would the queen think?!)

Sorry folks, but while the dress is meant to be see-through and dangerously low-cut, chances are Middleton wore a "modesty panel or lining" on top, just as WhatKateWore.com suggests.
And in case you’re wondering, Middleton's dress was available online for $595, but as with everything the Duchess wears, it seems like it's no longer available.
