Pippa Middleton is throwing a New Year's Eve bash for pals at her family's mansion.
The professional party planner hopes to show off her skills before publishing a book on being the perfect hostess, for which she got a $616,000 advance.
The bash will end an amazing year for Middleton, whose shapely bottom won fans when she was her sister Catherine's bridesmaid at Britain's royal wedding in April.
"She's gone from being largely unknown to one of the most recognized women in the world, so she decided to hold a big party to thank everyone," a source said.
Middleton, 28, booked out an entire hotel near her parents' home in Bucklebury, southern England, for the overspill.
Meanwhile newlyweds Catherine and Prince William, both 29, are expected to spend the New Year quietly at Balmoral, in Scotland.
