He's taken on the boxing world. Now former WBC Welterweight Champion Victor Ortiz is taking on the dancing world.

ABC announced the latest cast on Tuesday and said it included Ortiz, who has been paired up with Lindsay Arnold. The show starts March 18.

The Mexican boxer said he's going to be as competitive on stage as he is on the ring — declaring on social media that he's going to take home the coveted Mirror Ball trophy.

“Thank you everyone for the support! Going to own it on DWTS. Couldn’t be happier w/ my partner @dance9lindsay. We’re taking that mirror ball!” the boxing champ posted on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

But he said he's not hanging up the boxing gloves just yet.

“And no I am not quitting boxing. Just decided to kick some butt on the dance floor while my jaw fully heals. Gotta stay competitive!” he added.

Ortiz, who lost his WBC title to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in September 2011, follows in the footsteps of other Latinos who have left a lasting impression on the show, including actor William Levy and Army veteran J.R. Martinez.

This isn’t the first time that Ortiz takes on the world of entertainment. He was featured in HBO’s “24/7” which led up to his fight against Mayweather.
