A South Florida mother who had been missing for 14 hours, and feared abducted, was found safe in a hotel with her lover.
Damaris Saavedra Rodriguez, 43, was thought to have been abducted from a supermarket parking lot on Monday in Pembroke Pines, Florida. For more than 14 hours her husband, adult daughter and her 12-year-old son were left worried sick about her whereabouts.
It wasn't until Tuesday afternoon, according to the Sun Sentinel, that she was found in a hotel in Brunswick, Ga., in a hotel with family friend Luis Eduardo Carvajal, 48.
Police said Saavedra Rodriguez left her family willingly to be with Carvajal, a married man she and her husband had been friends with for nine years. Carvajal was initially thought to have possibly been the abductor.
"When asked the circumstances for which she left and the manner in which she left, she did not wish to provide any details to us and advised that it was a personal matter, and that she would eventually contact her family," Pembroke Pines Police Captain Al Xiques said.

"It's no longer a criminal investigation."
Saavedra Rodriguez will not be charged, despite the many resources devoted by police to search for her, but the whole situation has left mixed feelings for family, friends and neighbors.
"I am glad to hear that she was found after being missing for so long but I feel bad for the family,” Neighbor Albert Martino said to CBS 4.
