Polish police seek woman who walked away after truck hit her

She was hit by a truck, got up and walked away.

Police in central Poland say they are looking for an elderly woman who tried to cross in front of a truck waiting for other cars to pass a crossroads. She was was hit as it started moving and fell, then got up, walked away and was lost from sight. But her freezing act was caught on CCTV camera on Tuesday morning.

Artur Stachera of the police in Pajeczno, said Wednesday they were trying to identify and find the woman to check if she was hurt, but also to fine her for having caused danger.

Stachera said the 48-year-old truck driver got off and tried to help her, but she ignored him.
