A pizza deliveryman was shot and killed Tuesday night while he was making a delivery to a vacant home under construction in Philadelphia, authorities said.
The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. just outside the home. Authorities believe the gunman broke into the home so he could arrange for the delivery and then rob the victim. Police called it an "ambush-style attack," CBS Philadelphia reported.
The 30-year-old deliveryman was shot once in the chest and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released by authorities.
The shooter fled the scene and remained at large Wednesday. No arrests have been made and no description of a suspect has been given.
Police have warned other delivery drivers to be alert as cops hunt the shooter.
