Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade underwent successful surgery to repair damage to his left knee on Monday.

The brief procedure was performed by Heat physician Dr. Harlan Selesnick at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables, and will enable the 30-year-old champion the ability to begin rehab immediately. He is expected to be ready for training camp.

Wade appeared in 49 regular-season games, posting 22.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists per contest. He added 22.8 points, 5.2 boards and 4.3 assists in almost 40 minutes per game in 23 playoff tilts en route to Miami's first NBA title since 2006.
