RICHMOND, Va. – Veteran linebacker Nick Barnett has agreed to a one-year deal with the Washington Redskins.
Barnett agreed to sign late Wednesday after two days of workouts with the team.
The Redskins were looking for depth at linebacker after backup Keenan Robinson torn his left pectoral muscle on the opening day of training camp.
Barnett has played 10 NFL seasons, eight with the Green Bay Packers and the last two with the Buffalo Bills.
He was cut by the Bills in February after he failed a physical.
