The struggling Boston Celtics made a move in an attempt to spark their season, getting explosive but enigmatic guard Nate Robinson from the New York Knicks, sources said.

The Celtics traded Eddie House, J.R. Giddens and Bill Walker to the Knicks, who also sent Marcus Landry to Boston.

The 5-foot-9 Robinson won his third slam-dunk title at All-Star weekend and is averaging 13.2 points this season. With his contract expiring, the Knicks did not see him as part of their long-range plans.

Boston (33-18) has gone 10-13 since Christmas Day and was looking for more help off the bench. Though Robinson isn't a conventional point guard, he brings youth, energy and offense to the mix.
