The 20-point rally marked the largest fourth-quarter comeback against an AP No. 1 team ever.
As a result, the Longhorns' odds to win the national championship jumped from +800 to +650, moving the Longhorns into a tie for the second-shortest odds on the board.
Meanwhile, Oregon experienced the biggest move in the opposite direction. The Ducks tumbled from +950 to +1800 after a 39-31 loss to unranked Oklahoma State, marking Dan Lanning's first loss to an unranked opponent as Oregon's head coach. He had been 35-0 in such games before Saturday.

With Julian Sayin and Jeremiah Smith leading the offense, Ohio State remains the team to beat.
Should Oregon Panic?: Oregon's loss to Oklahoma State snapped its 12-game road winning streak, which was the longest active streak in the FBS entering Saturday. The Ducks also became the first AP top-10 team since Ohio State in 2014 to lose their second game of the season against an unranked opponent. However, there is some encouraging history for Oregon. That 2014 Ohio State team went on to win the national championship, while Notre Dame bounced back from a Week 2 loss to unranked Northern Illinois in 2024 to reach the national title game.
