With a new arena set to open next year, Auburn has decided to make a coaching change.

Tigers coach Jeff Lebo's tenure is over after six years at the helm, according to a report Friday in the Birmingham News .

Lebo, 43, entered the season with an 81-76 overall mark in five years and coming off a 24-win season and an NIT bid.

However, the Tigers finished 15-17 this season and 6-10 in SEC play after a loss to Florida on Thursday night in the opening round of the league tournament.

Before coming to Auburn, Lebo spent two seasons at Chattanooga and four at Tennessee Tech. He also played at North Carolina from 1986-89 under Hall of Famer Dean Smith.
