Boston, MA – The Boston Red Sox placed outfielder Daniel Nava on the paternity leave list Monday.
The 30-year-old Nava is hitting .282 with 10 homers, 53 RBI and 55 runs scored for the Red Sox this season.
To fill Nava's spot on the active roster, Boston recalled right-handed pitcher Brandon Workman from Triple-A Pawtucket.
