The Baltimore Orioles optioned Chris Tillman to Double-A Bowie on Wednesday, shortly after the pitcher picked up his first win of the season.

Tillman was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk to start Wednesday's game against the Mariners. It was the righty's first start of the year and he did not disappoint, allowing two unearned runs on two hits over a career-high 8 1/3 innings in a 4-2 win.

The 24-year-old has gone 8-8 with a 3.63 ERA in 16 games -- 15 starts -- for Norfolk this season.
