Frank Hassell had 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead Old Dominion over Hofstra 75-64 on Saturday.

Kent Bazemore also had 18 points for the Monarchs (13-4, 4-2 Colonial Athletic Association), who snapped Hofstra's 10-game conference winning streak.

Old Dominion fell behind 12-0 early and trailed for most of the first half, but took a 29-27 lead into the break. The Monarchs used a 10-3 run to jump out to a 42-33 lead on a steal and layup from Ben Finney with 15:45 left.

Charles Jenkins scored four quick points for the Pride (11-6, 5-1) to bring them within 46-44.

It remained close, with the Monarchs leading 60-56, before Bazemore hit a 3-pointer and then fed Finney for a layup off a steal to seal it.

Old Dominion outrebounded the Pride 52-28, snapping Hofstra's four-game winning streak.

Jenkins and Mike Moore scored 19 points for the Pride.
