Brooklyn forward Kevin Garnett is not playing against San Antonio on Wednesday night, missing what could be his final matchup against fellow veteran Tim Duncan.

Garnett decided to sit out after grabbing 13 rebounds in the Nets' 98-93 victory over the New York Knicks on Tuesday. The 38-year-old forward played 29 minutes, just over the 24-28 limit that coach Lionel Hollins prefers.

Asked how much input Garnett had in the decision not to play, Hollins says: "All of it. It's his body."

Garnett and Duncan, who is about a month older, have been two of the NBA's best power forwards since the 1990s, and both are in the final year of their contracts. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich praised the competitiveness of both and said he would miss seeing Garnett play.
